COATINGS - FLOORING
|
Coating concrete requires many precautions in order to avoid problems of intercoat adhesion or osmotic blistering. The presence of water in the fresh concrete or in the basement constitutes more often a huge problem for the contractor. It is also very well accepted that concrete has to be coated after 28 days of drying and therefore is time consuming. Failures could bring extraordinary costs and need to be avoided as much as possible.
Due to people exposure, it is obvious that 100 % solid systems are by far preferred and will be the only remaining technology in the future.
Some phenalkamines from Cardolite can fast cure epoxy liquid resins in the presence of relatively high water content without the risk of blistering or lose of intercoat adhesion with topcoats.
